Low voltage grid optimisation technology
The rapid adoption of distributed energy resources (PV, EV chargers, batteries and heat pumps), pushes existing grid infrastructure to its limits. As a result, distribution system operators (DSO’s) are faced with increasing complexity and network instability. In order to answer these challenges and meet national renewable energy targets, the International Energy Agency (IEA) states that grid investments should nearly double by 2030, with emphasis on digitalizing and modernizing distribution grids.
eneida.io addresses grid operators’ challenges by providing clear situational awareness, detecting and locating events, and enabling the optimization and control of the low voltage grid, without costly infrastructure upgrades. Their open and modular approach facilitates the rapid adoption of distributed assets, while reducing grid outages and faults.
eneida.io was founded in 2012 in Coimbra (Portugal) and operates across Europe, Australia, and New Zealand.
